Dancing Ganesha



Such beautiful figures are the handiwork of craftsman from Bengal of India.There works are so heart worming but unrealized to the outer world.We talk about innovation, crafts, culture and so so.Come to my place, it can fulfill you to the maximum extent and can inundate with ideas that we usually talk upon.

                      ABOUT THE FIGURE

Material Used:

1) Three kinds of wood is used
   a) Jack Fruit Wood
   b) Margosa
   c) A kind of hairy sour apple

 
2) Macnite Board

 
3) Base was made from Black colour. Except base all are made of natural things

How to maintain
the figure:
 
1) Never use water to clean it
2) When it catches dirt always use brush to clean it.
3) If by time, figure turn blackish or reddish due to pollution, then rub with sand paper to the portion of figure only.
4) never rub the base with sandpaper.

MY INNOVATIVE DESIGNS

 Here , look at 'TOM& JERRY' .The design in FIG-1, FIG-2 AND IN FIG-3 has been conceived with kantha stich(name came from a Bengali word"KANTHA" usually used to cover infants)  all over the bed sheet.It is really an excellent work of my aunt  who is a designer .It's perfect for your child's bed.

This Saree in FIG-4 AND FIG-5  (A must for Indian women) .is a handloom product form south India.It is a gift by my aunt-in-law. It looks very gorgeous with all those thread works.

The shawl IN FIG-6 AND IN FIG-7 is getting complete with different stitches like chain,stem,buttonhole etc.It really looks gorgeous with all the bright colors.This stitches are done by me.

 The saree IN FIG -8 has been designed with FLORAL MOTIFS AND FABRIC.Its an exellent work done by the members of "AUROBINDO ASHRAM"It also has the symbol of this ashram.It is a gift from my sister-in-law

SIMPLE BUT AWESOME CULTURE OF EAST BENGAL

The photograph shows a plate consisting of home made sweets, a piece of battle leaf and nuts and a few Bangles placed strategically  in predefined positons.It depicts the traditional culture of Bengalis from East bengal where such beautifully designed plates are sent to the of house of Groom from the sides of Bride before marriage.
